Introducing Eve Lewis: Empathy’s New Mindfulness Expert

Today, we are expanding the Empathy Support System with new tools grounded in compassion, mindfulness, and steady presence. We’re honored to welcome Eve Lewis—renowned meditation and mindfulness teacher and mental-health coach—as Empathy’s Mindfulness Expert. Eve brings more than a decade of experience helping millions navigate stress, anxiety, grief, and major life transitions. She previously served as Director of Meditation at Headspace, where her voice reached audiences through Radio Headspace, Netflix’s Guide to Sleep, and the Headspace | Waze mindful navigation experience.

Below, Eve shares why she’s chosen to partner with Empathy and how her personal experience informs this work.

Why I’m Joining Empathy

For more than ten years, I’ve been helping people meet stress, anxiety, and change with more steadiness and compassion. My work is grounded in my own lived experiences, and grief has shaped my life in profound ways. 

As I reflect on my own journey with loss, meditation became a space where I could truly sit with my grief, process overwhelming emotions, and slowly feel more anchored in my day-to-day life.

Mindfulness taught me something essential: grief doesn’t follow a tidy timeline. It affects the mind, body, sleep, focus, and even our capacity to make everyday decisions. None of this means we’re failing; it’s a natural response to loss and the many ways it reshapes our lives.With practice, mindfulness creates a little more space around the pain. It reminds us that healing isn’t about moving on; it’s about holding and honouring our loss while continuing to live fully.

That’s why Empathy’s mission resonates so deeply with me. They’re building the kind of support system I wish I’d had: practical guidance, compassionate tools, and expert-led care that meets people exactly where they are. I’m grateful to join as their Mindfulness Expert and to help create meditations and mindfulness exercises that support people through their hardest moments. 

Grief is something we move through, not something we leave behind. I’m honored to support Empathy’s work in helping people navigate it with compassion and understanding.
