About the Role

We are hiring a Channel Manager to drive growth through strategic relationships with consultants, brokers, and carrier field teams. This role is for a high-impact relationship builder who understands the power of influence in the employee benefits market. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and nurturing partner relationships that lead to qualified sales opportunities. You will operate as a connector between Empathy and the market, helping to expand our presence through direct engagement, enablement, and territory-level execution. You will collaborate across Sales, Marketing, and Product to ensure our channel strategy drives sustained partner influence, consistent pipeline contribution, and measurable impact.

What You Will Do

  • Build and maintain relationships with consultants, brokers and carrier distribution representatives on a local, regional and national level in your designated territory. 
  • A subject matter expert, you provide channel education, enablement and field support, surfacing insights to improve product positioning and partner relevance.
  • Establish and maintain structured engagement cadence with top priority partners and firms
  • Drive sales growth by making trusted partner introductions that lead to qualified pipeline  
  • Activate consultants and carrier teams to help Empathy earn finalist positioning and sales influence
  • Exercise your expertise to support sales team with partner warm-ups, joint calls, and proposal strategy
  • Build and manage territory-level account mapping across partner ecosystems
  • Ensure all partner interactions and opportunity influence are tracked in Salesforce within the SLA
  • Monitor and report on partner health, referral activity, and growth trends
  • Nurture and progress deals by working with Sales Executives and Marketing on activations and campaign strategies

Requirements

What You Bring

  • 5+ years experience in a Brokerage Firm or Consulting house working with Employee Benefits in an account management capacity or producing capacity.  Experience in Health Tech is a plus.
  • Experience working with brokers, consultants, and life insurance carrier reps
  • Strong understanding of channel influence, referral models, and the indirect sales cycle
  • Proven track record of building relationships that convert to real opportunity
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and benefit enrollment platforms like BenefitFlow
  • Holds an active Life and Health license in at least one state
  • Strong communicator, operator, and executor with a bias for action
  • ·Deep belief in Empathy’s mission and care-driven model
  • Account management, producing experience
