Empathy Partners with iA Financial Group to Bring Compassionate Bereavement Support to Millions of Canadians

We’re proud to share that Empathy is partnering with iA Financial Group, one of Canada’s largest and most trusted insurance and wealth management organizations, to bring compassionate, full-circle bereavement support to millions of Canadians and their families.

This partnership also marks another important step in Empathy’s expansion across Canada, as more leading institutions recognize the need for comprehensive bereavement care and choose Empathy to support their beneficiaries through life’s hardest moments. With iA, we’re deepening that commitment to Canadians across the country.

Beginning in spring 2026, eligible beneficiaries covered under iA’s Individual Life policies will receive access to Empathy’s Loss Support platform—offering the emotional care, practical tools, and one-on-one guidance they need in the days and months that follow a loss.

Meeting families where they are

Every loss looks different, but the need for guidance and compassion is universal. Through this partnership, iA beneficiaries will receive support that adapts to their situation, including one-on-one help from our Care Managers, easy-to-follow plans for the logistical tasks ahead, tools to stay organized, and resources that make space for emotional healing in a difficult time.

For us at Empathy, it’s not just about easing paperwork or simplifying tasks—though we do that too. It’s about reducing the stress families carry during moments that already feel heavy enough.
